Mechanical music boxes as input to collaborative visuals. Created at AllofUs.
Onedotzero asked AllofUs to create an installation for the 18th century Norfolk House Music Room at the V&A Museum, to be shown for one night during the Friday Late: Transvision event.
Plink Plonk uses mechanical music boxes as playful delicate input devices, producing their own sound output (the tune ‘Your are my sunshine’). A visual narrative responded to each turn of the music box, with 4 scenes containing different sound reactive visuals, cycling through a glowing star scene, to water drops, a growing sun and total eclipse.
“Onedotzero are pleased to have been invited by the prestigious Victoria and Albert museum to curate a special event as part of the museum’s late night series, which takes place on the last Friday of every month.
For this one-time event, onedotzero has invited over 20 key creatives from diverse fields, representing the full breadth of moving image programming that onedotzero explores”.
